Kettle Moraine State Forest—Northern UnitSchool field trips

Kettle Moraine State Forest, with abundant kettle lakes, eskers and drumlins, is the perfect textbook for learning about glacial geology.

How to register

Programs

Kettle Moraine offers several naturalist-guided programs correlated to Wisconsin Model Academic Standards.

Ice Age at the beach

Through hands-on activities with models, students will discover how the glaciers created kames, eskers, kettles, outwash plains and moraines. (Grades 4 - 8).

After spending about one hour in the Ice Age Visitor Center, groups head out on their own to visit glacial features in the forest. (Grades 4 - 12).
