Roche-A-Cri State Park Current conditions

Conditions as of Monday, Nov. 28, 2016:

The main gate is closed for the season, but visitors may still park at the winter/prairie parking lot on Czech Avenue (south of the park entrance) to access the park. There is a vault toilet and the parking lot is plowed in winter. A valid vehicle admission sticker is required. Please self-register if you do not already have a park sticker.

Stairway

The stairway is not maintained for winter use. Please remember no food, pets or drinks are allowed on the stairway. Users must keep on the stairway to protect the fragile ecosystem of the bluff. The stairway is open from 6 a.m. to sunset.

Camping

Don't move firewood!

Don't move firewood!Due to the potential of carrying harmful tree pests and diseases, Wisconsin has restrictions for moving firewood.

The campground is closed for the season. Reservations for 2017 can be made online.

Hunting

Hunting and trapping continue to Dec. 15. Bow hunting for deer continues to Jan. 8. Hunting maps are available online or at the park office to see the areas open and closed to hunting.

2017 state park stickers go on sale Dec. 1 and make great gifts. If you self-register, the sticker will be mailed to you.

In season, GPS units, horseshoes and volleyballs are available to check out at the park office. When the office is closed, please self-register for park admission and camping fees.
