The suggested hiking trails are the Ice Age Trail section, Picnic trail and nature trail identified on the winter map. Hiking, biking, and pets are not permitted on ski trails when snow-covered. Please see the Potawatomi winter use map [PDF] for trails open to winter hiking and snowshoeing. Bikes may be ridden on park roadways.

Cross-country ski trail conditions.

The snowmobile trails in the park are closed.

The observation tower is closed for the season.

Robins are returning to the park.

Winter road closures are now in place. See the Potawatomi winter use map [PDF] for roads that remain open/plowed in the winter.

Don't move firewood!Due to the potential of carrying harmful tree pests and diseases, Wisconsin has restrictions for moving firewood.

A limited number of campsites (with electrical hookups) remain open in the South Daisy Field campground. The campsites are first-come, first-served (no reservations during the off-season). Sites 24 E, 26E and 28E are plowed for winter campers.

The shower building and all other water systems, including the fish cleaning station and dump station are closed for the season. Drinking water is available year-round near the campground shelter. Firewood must be purchased within 10 miles of the park.

Campsites may be reserved online or by calling 1-888-947-2757 for the 2018 camping season.

The fish cleaning station is closed for the season.

The park’s accessible fishing pier was severely damaged by high waves in 2014 and removed from the water. The Friends of Potawatomi State Park plan have started a fundraising campaign to support replacement of the accessible fishing pier in the picnic area.
