Sandhill day use and school tours

Day-use educational tours are popular amongst area school districts. The Sandhill Outdoor Skills Center provides a variety of wildlife-related educational opportunities. These can be tailored to suite the educational goals of classroom teachers. Contact Sandhill for a Day-Use Registration form for ideas of topics that are typically offered. Many groups arrive around 9am and depart around 1:30 pm, leaving about four hours of learning time. Preferred group size is less than 30. Staff will accept groups of up to 50, but teachers will be expected to assist in teaching rotational units.

School tour programs are offered:

  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
  • September through November and March through June.
  • Other times may be available, depending on staff availability.

Fees are charged based on group size:

  • 1-25 = $25.00;
  • 26-50 = $55.00.

Ask about fee waivers!

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Register two to three months in advance to ensure staff availability!
