Sampson Extensive Wildlife Habitat Area is a 38-acre property in Barron County. Find it 3 miles north of Barron on Highway 25, turn east on 17th Avenue and go 3 miles. The property is on the north side of the road.

Management Objectives

Sampson Extensive Wildlife Habitat Area was purchased through the Extensive Wildlife Habitat Area program. Prairie grasses were planted on the adjacent fields. These fields are periodically burned to maintain waterfowl and upland bird nesting habitat.

The Sampson Extensive Wildlife Habitat Area offers many recreational opportunities:
