The KRFA-Potton Tract is a 138-acre property located in southern St. Croix County. The property was purchased in 1995 as a part of the Kinnickinic River Fisheries Area. The property consists exclusively of grassland habitat with the Kinnickinic River, a world class trout stream, bisecting the property. The property is managed as part of the Western Prairie Habitat Restoration Area, a landscape scale wetland and grassland restoration project.

The property is located 7 miles northeast of River Falls. Follow Highway 65 north out of River Falls for 3.5 miles, then turn east on County Road J for 1.5 miles. The property is located on the north side of County Road J. Parking lots are available off of County Road J as well as Cemetery Road.

Management

The property is managed to provide opportunities for public hunting, fishing, trapping, wildlife observation and other nature-based outdoor recreation.
