Wild turkey harvest registration procedures

Validate your carcass tag immediately after harvesting a turkey by detaching the bottom portion (validation stub) from the rest of the tag. You do not need to keep the bottom stub once the tag is validated.

Protect your tag by using a plastic zip-top bag to keep it intact and legible.

If you leave it, tag it! If you leave your turkey, attach the validated tag to the carcass. You do not need to attach the tag as long as you remain with the carcass.

Register your turkey by 5p.m. the day after harvest. All registration is electronic and available 24 hours a day. No in-person registration stations are available.

  • Register online at GameReg
  • Register by calling the Harvest Registration Hotline: 1-844-426-3734

Have the following information handy for the registration process:

Record the 10-character confirmation number at the conclusion of registration and keep for your records.

Keep the tag with the meat until all the meat has been consumed.
