City of Waukesha water diversion application DNR review documents

The DNR drafted a technical review that details the analysis for each of the review criteria and required under the Great Lakes Compact. The DNR also decided to conduct an environmental impact statement (EIS) process for the proposed Waukesha diversion under the Wisconsin Environmental Policy Act or WEPA, and administrative code NR 150.

DNR draft documents

The draft EIS was conducted to review the potential impacts of the Waukesha diversion and return flow application based on the criteria outlined in Waukesha Project EIS List of Topics [PDF]. The draft technical review outlines the Application’s compliance with the Great Lakes–St. Lawrence River Basin Water Resources Compact, and Wisconsin’s Compact implementing legislation [exit DNR]. Public comments were requested for the EIS list of topics, which were incorporated into the draft EIS; and for both draft documents, which are incorporated into the final documents.
