DNR warden seeks public's tips in case of illegal shooting of bucks, fawn in Oneida County

The Department of Natural Resources' Bureau of Law Enforcement is seeking the public's help with a case involving the illegal shooting of three deer in Oneida County. On August 23, Conservation Warden Tim Ebert of Oneida County was alerted of 2 dead antlered bucks and one dead buck fawn along Highway 47 in the Town of Woodruff, between Walter Drive and Forest Trail. The 3 deer were found with bullet wounds to the head and in the ditch line, most likely where they fell after being shot sometime between 4 and 5:30 a.m. The deer season is currently closed and shooting deer from the roadway is illegal in Wisconsin.
