Mississippi River Team Organization and Contacts

The interdisciplinary Mississippi River team has program areas in fisheries, wildlife management water quality monitoring and assessment, and Mississippi River habitat restoration.

The river team also includes the Mississippi River monitoring station which is located at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin. A separate website has been developed for the Mississippi River Monitoring Station in cooperation with the USGS Environmental Sciences Center.

Because the Mississippi River team is responsible for 230 miles of the river along the western border of Wisconsin, there are offices located in Alma, La Crosse and Prairie du Chien.
