Anglers, charter captains, associated business owners, commercial fishers and other fish enthusiasts, help us plan for your future fishing success on Lake Michigan.

We want your input

Our work with you and partners to manage Wisconsin's Lake Michigan fishery is an ongoing process. We have successfully tackled major issues on Lake Michigan over the past 40 years while maintaining a world-class fishery. Part of these efforts included three public meetings in June 2016 to gather feedback on some plans and ideas aimed at continuing this fabulous fishery into the future.

Detailed information: The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is encouraging anglers, charter captains, businesses, conservation groups and other stakeholders to attend one of three meetings focused on Lake Michigan fisheries management activities related to salmon and trout. The meetings will provide opportunities for discussion and comment on a variety of potential initiatives to ensure a continued diverse fishery given challenges in the Lake Michigan food web.
