Broad Incidental Take Permit/Authorization

The Broad Incidental Take Permit/Authorization (BITP/A) allows for the incidental taking (mortality) of state threatened and endangered animals and plants that may occur during specific no/low impact project activities. The department recognizes that some projects will have no or very low impact to endangered resources and, therefore, approved this permit (used by non-state agencies and individuals) and authorization (used by state agencies).
