Sample lab list report cover page

The LabCert program maintains various lists of accredited labs.

Wisconsin accredited laboratories

The laboratory lists below are generally updated at least twice annually. If you do not see what you are looking for call the Laboratory Certification or Registration Program at 608-267-7633. Specialized lists for a particular project, such as PCB laboratories, dioxin laboratories or all wastewater laboratories are also available upon request.

Lists of accredited laboratories

All laboratories - technology report [PDF]
This list includes all laboratories currently certified, registered, or accepted under reciprocity. Contains only a listing of the technologies (by matrix) for which each lab is accredited.
Commercial laboratories [PDF]
This list includes all commercial laboratories currently certified or accepted under reciprocity. This list does not include public laboratories or noncommercial private labs. Contains testing parameter information.
Non-commercial certified laboratories [PDF]
This list includes all NON-commercial laboratories currently certified to perform testing for facilities other than their own. This list basically includes public laboratories, industrial labs, and small municipal wastewater labs. Contains testing parameter information.
Drinking water chemistry testing labs [PDF]
This list includes all of the laboratories currently certified or accepted under reciprocity to analyze safe drinking water samples for Wisconsin compliance. Contains testing parameter information.
Wisconsin drinking water chemistry testing labs [PDF]
This list includes only those Wisconsin laboratories currently certified to analyze safe drinking water samples for Wisconsin compliance. Contains testing parameter information.
Drinking water arsenic testing labs [PDF]
This list includes all of the laboratories currently certified or accepted under reciprocity to analyze Arsenic in safe drinking water samples for Wisconsin compliance.
Drinking water DEHP testing labs [PDF]
This list includes all of the laboratories currently certified or accepted under reciprocity to analyze for DEHP [Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate; Bis-2-ethylhexyl phthalate] in drinking water samples for compliance with Wisconsin regulation.

Disclaimer:

Accreditation is not a guarantee of the accuracy or validity of the data generated by a particular laboratory. Laboratories accredited by the DNR have implemented a quality control program in accordance with Chapter NR 149, Wis. Adm. Code, and have the systems in place to generate traceable analytical data. The Department provides these lists as a service and cannot recommend a particular laboratory for a project.

Lists of labs accredited for specific parameters

Wisconsin boron (B) labs [PDF]
This list includes laboratories that are certified to perform boron determinations in aqueous matrix samples.
Wisconsin molybdenum (Mo) labs [PDF]
This list includes laboratories that are certified to perform molybdenum determinations in aqueous matrix samples.
Wisconsin total phosphorus labs [PDF]
This list includes only laboratories located in Wisconsin that are certified to perform total phosphorus determinations in aqueous matrix samples.
All total phosphorus labs [PDF]
This list includes all laboratories that are certified to perform total phosphorus determinations in aqueous matrix samples.
Labs with low-level mercury capability [PDF]
This list includes laboratories that are certified or registered to perform low-level mercury determinations in aqueous and/or solid matrices.
Pesticide and herbicide labs [PDF]
This list includes laboratories that are certified to perform analytical testing for pesticides and herbicides in aqueous and solid matrices.
UST (Underground Storage Tank) labs [PDF]
This list includes laboratories that are certified to perform analytical testing for petroleum hydrocarbons (GRO, DRO, PVOC) and volatile organics (VOCs)in aqueous or solid matrices.
WET (Whole Effluent Toxicity) testing labs [PDF]
Biomonitoring Labs. This includes laboratories that perform whole effluent toxicity tests (acute and chronic toxicity tests).

NOTE: Please be aware that, although certified to conduct WET tests, the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene is under contract to conduct compliance inspection tests, research and test development, etc. for the WDNR and due to possible "conflict of interest" does not perform WET tests commercially for hire for use by permittees to meet WPDES requirements.

List of all laboratories by accreditation type

Registered labs - ordered by technology [PDF]
Registered labs - ordered by analytical "class" [PDF]
These lists includes all of the currently registered laboratories in the program. These labs are not able to contract outside of their own corporation for analytical work.
Certified and reciprocity labs - ordered by technology [PDF]
Certified and reciprocity labs - ordered by "class" of analyte [PDF]
These lists includes all of the labs currently certified or accepted under reciprocity. These labs are able to contract for analytical chemistry work.

Laboratory lists from other accrediting bodies

Drinking water microbiology testing labs
These are approved by the Department of Agriculture to perform bacti testing on drinking water for Wisconsin compliance.

NOTE: The page "Last Revised" date does not reflect the date on which the individual lab lists were generated. The date on which a report was generated appears in the footer of each individual report. The page "Last Revised" date only changes when coding on this page changes.
