Registration Permits for Eligible Businesses
If the total annual emissions from your operations are below certain levels, you may be eligible for a Registration Operation Permit. Registration permits offer streamlined application and renewal processes, standardized conditions, and flexibility in return for keeping facility-wide emissions below threshold levels.
Which Facilities are Eligible for Registration Permits?
Facilities with actual emissions below these threshold levels are eligible for Registration Permits:
- less than 25 tons per year of each criteria pollutant (VOCs, NOx, SO2, CO and PM)
- less than 2.5 tons per year for any single federal Hazardous Air Pollutant, or 6.25 tons per year for all HAPs combined
- less than 0.5 tons per year of lead
