Getting DNR Help

Tips to Try Before Contacting the DNR for Help:

• Always try the "Help" button on the form. Have patience, it could take a while to retrieve the Help section information on your computer screen. The Help information is formatted in another software program, and takes a moment to download.


• Use the Helpful Hints and Information Index to look up topical instructions that may help you solve your problem.

E-Mail/Telephone Messages

• If the "Help" section information doesn't solve your problem, use the "Contact Us" button in the eCMAR form first. Clicking on the "Contact Us" button and filling out the feedback form generates an e-mail which the Department can direct to the DNR staff who specialize in the specific problem you are having.


• Use the phone as a last resort. "Phone tag" can be frustrating; especially during a time when eCMAR use is heavy and we are responding to numerous calls. Staff may not be able to return your call immediately. If you choose to phone, it is helpful if you are on the computer while you are calling to ensure the instructions you receive over the phone correct your problem.

Call Gail Mills At 608-266-1387 if You Have These Types of Problems:

• "Page cannot be found" message when you try to access your eCMAR. Suggestion: Try clicking the "Refresh" button on your toolbar, close down, open up, try again. If that doesn't work, give the Department a call.


• "502" Bad gateway error message. This is a programming problem.

• You will not have your eCMAR finished by the due date and you need an extension on the deadline to submit your eCMAR.


• There is incorrect data or missing data in the pre-populated sections of your eCMAR form. The DNR Basin Engineer will make the decision if a section or data needs to be altered, removed, or added.
