Phosphorus Rules Revisions

In accordance with the procedures of Chapter 227, Wis. Stats, revisions to Wisconsin’s Phosphorus Water Quality Standards for surface waters were developed. These revisions took effect on December 1, 2010 following the publication of chapters NR 102 and NR 217 in the Wisconsin Administrative Register, which occurred on November 30, 2010. Changes have also been proposed to chapter NR 151 to revise agricultural performance standards and prohibitions for phosphorus. These changes took effect January 1, 2010 following the publication of NR 151 in the Wisconsin Administrative Register.
