The Lower Fox River TMDL Technical Team

In creating this team, WDNR is attempting to ensure all affected interests are represented throughout the TMDL development process. The role of the LFR Technical Team will be to:

  1. Evaluate the feasibility of various restoration scenarios being considered to meet TMDL goals.
  2. Explore and assess costs and identify barriers to implementation of best management practices and/or potential modifications to industrial or municipal wastewater treatment plants (if needed).
  3. Provide innovative solutions and creative ideas for TMDL implementation.
  4. Ensure that the allocation scenario chosen by WDNR will meet water quality standards and provide insurance that various options have been explored (Load allocation scenarios will be discussed with the WDNR once restoration scenarios and an optimization framework for costs have been determined).
  5. Explore options for trading and general basin-wide implementation planning.
