Financial Assistance for Dams - Grants

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has been able to provide some assistance in the form of grants to dam owners. Section 31.385 has established two grants:

• Dam Maintenance, Repair, Modification, Abandonment and Removal Grant.
• Small and Abandoned Dam Removal Grant.

These grants have been awarded on yearly bases, and an application process is required to determine those most in need of assistance.
