Letters of Support
The Request for Proposals (RFP) from USEPA on the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (Initiative) allows applicants to include relevant attachments including letters of collaboration or letters of support. This is not an Application Submission requirement nor will the presence (or absence) of a letter of support be used in scoring proposals.
Letters of Support
In lieu of individual letters of support for GLRI proposals, the Wisconsin DNR is providing a letter describing Wisconsin´s position on Great Lakes protection and restoration as reflected in the Great Lakes Regional Collaboration, the Wisconsin Great Lakes Strategy: Restoring and Protecting our Great Lakes, and the Lakewide Management Plans (LaMPs). Applicants will be able to refer to our general letter and identify how their project is consistent with the Wisconsin Great Lakes Strategy with its goals and priorities as identified in the letter. Letters of Collaboration
USEPA has placed a strong emphasis on collaboration and partnerships. Proposals will be evaluated based on the extent to which they demonstrate that they will work with partners or include plans for obtaining collaboration and support from public, private, and independent sectors in performing the project in order to expand its impact. The Wisconsin DNR will issue individual letters of collaboration for those projects in which Department staff are actively engaged in the development of the project proposal and will be active participants in the implementation of the project. This does not include normal activities such as permit review or compliance checks that the Department is mandated to perform.
