Our National Lake Survey crews began sampling today (July 2nd, 2007 on Lake Kegonsa, in Dane County), and will be visiting a lake near you sometime in the next couple of months! Brynn Bemis and Mike Shupryt are conducting shoreline habitat assessments and collecting macroinvertebrate samples, and a crew from USGS (Bridgett Marsh, Ben Siebers, and/or Jerry Goddard ) is collecting water, plankton, and sediment core samples. In addition, an ISS plant survey crew will be conducting PI surveys on most of the lakes.
