Executive Committee

The Executive Committee of the Wisconsin Conservation Congress consists of three members elected by the Executive Council annually in May. The Executive Committee works in conjunction with the Executive Council on all natural resource issues of citizen concern.

The current 2011-2012 Executive Committee is as follows:

Rob Bohmann was elected Chair of the Conservation Congress. He is a seven year veteran of the Congress with two years as a Milwaukee County delegate, and five years as a Racine County delegate. Rob has served five years as Executive Councilor for Dist 11 and four years on the Executive Committee as Vice-Chair. In addition, he has chaired the CWD Ad-Hoc, Deer 2000 Review Ad-Hoc and Outreach Committees and has served on the Big Game and Great Lakes Committees. Rob is a licensed hunting/fishing guide, and former USCG licensed charter captain. He has guided for deer, bear, musky, and walleye. He is a member of many hunting pro-staffs and is a four-time archery champion.

Larry Bonde, elected as Vice-Chair of the Wisconsin Conservation Congress, also has serves as Chair of the Manitowoc County Delegation and currently serves as Executive Council for District 8. A 19 year veteran of the Congress, Larry is a past Executive Council member and served as Secretary for one year. During his time on the Congress he has chaired the Outdoor Heritage & Education, Rules & Resolutions, and Outreach Committees as well as serving on Environmental Practices and Big Game Committees. Larry is a member of the Town of Meeme Land Use Commission, Manitowoc County Fish and Game Protective Association, Viking Bow and Gun Club and serves on the county boards Land Conservation Committee.

Lee Fahrney was elected secretary of the Wisconsin Conservation Congress Executive Committee. Lee also serves as vice-chair of the Iowa County delegation, chairs the Outdoor Heritage & Education Committee and represents District 9 on the Executive Council. He is a 23-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and also completed a second career as a high school guidance counselor. He now writes freelance outdoor columns on a part time basis while managing his 160-acre property in Iowa County.
