Little Wolf River Fishery Area

Little Wolf River Fishery Area is a 2,920 acre property located in and around the Rosholt area. It is a fishery area protecting the stream corridors of the Little Wolf River, Flume Creek and Bradley Creek. So it consists of many scattered parcels of land over a large area. The main roads which pass through the properties are Hwy 66, Hwy 49 and County Hwy A.

The majority of the property is made up of stream corridor and floodplain, mixed hardwood forest, bottomland conifers, and grass openings.

History of Management

The State began purchasing property along the Little Wolf, Flume and Bradley Creek corridor in 1958. While purchases mainly were to protect the trout stream habitat, some purchases did include forested and grass uplands providing protected habitat for a variety of wildlife.
