Footville Leased Public Hunting Ground
Footville Leased Public Hunting Ground is a 4700 acre property located south, west and northwest of Footville in Rock County. The wildlife area can be found in portions of Plymouth, Spring Valley, Center and Magnolia townships. As the name implies, Footville Leased PHG exists primarily due to the cooperation of many private landowners, who have allowed public hunting on their land for many years. Please be on your best behavior when using their property and respect landowner rights! In addition to the leased acreage, Footville includes 171 acres of state owned land in three parcels. The area is dominated by cropland with wooded and grassy tracts found throughout. Common game species include pheasants, doves, deer, cottontail rabbits, and turkeys.
