Chronic Wasting Disease Stakeholder Advisory Group
From July of 2007 through January of 2008, 18 citizens with diverse interests in the state’s wild deer herd were brought together to offer recommendations regarding future Chronic Wasting Disease management for consideration by the Department and the Wisconsin Natural Resources Board. The group became the CWD Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAG).
CWD Rule Proposal [PDF 1.5MB] - This document includes a letter from DNR Secretary, Matt Frank, to Stakeholder Advisory Group members, a background memo, the Stakeholder Advisory Group’s final report and the proposed 2008 CWD season structure. It will be presented to the Natural Resources Board, along with a request to go to hearing on the rule, at their February 27, 2008 meeting.
