If you applied for a preference point only, the point will be added to your total after the drawing. If you applied for a kill tag, one preference point will be added to your total when we conduct the drawing. For example, if you have 4 preference points and then apply for a harvest permit before the Dec. 10th deadline for the next year's bear season, you will then have 5 preference points going into the drawing. Your preference point status will be updated on-line immediately after the drawing.
