Current FocusYouth Waterfowl Skills EventYouth waterfowl hunting skills workshop to be held September 13th. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in conjunction with the Wisconsin Waterfowl Association and Wern Valley Sportsmans Club will be hosting a youth waterfowl skills workshop on September 13th from 8:30AM-3:30PM at Wern Valley Sportsmans Club in Waukesha. Youth will spend the day outside learning the field aspects of waterfowl hunting and lunch will provided. The event will feature trap shooting, dog training, duck ID, decoy setting, small boat safety, and waterfowl ecology. On the morning of September 20th, participating youth will join with a mentor for a waterfowl hunt on an area wetland. Any youth ages 12-15 that has completed a hunter education course may participate. To register, call the Waukesha DNR service center at 262-574-2100 before September 10th. Registration is limited to 20 youth on a first come, first serve basis. Rare Mammal Observation Reporting FormWisconsin DNR offers an online reporting form to report rare mammal observations.
