Horse Trails in Wisconsin State Parks, Forests, and Trails

Horseback riders are welcome on more than 800 miles of trails in Wisconsin state parks, forests, recreation areas, and unsurfaced trails on former rail lines. This page lists places with a mile or more of horse trail. Some of these properties also offer campsites where you can camp with your horse.

Trails may be closed due to surface conditions. For more information, see our Current Conditions page or click the property name below for a phone number to call.

Riders age 16 and older must have an annual or daily state trail pass to use most of the trails.
