Friends of Lake Kegonsa State ParkIn 1996 a friends group was formed for the park. The main objectives of the group include promoting the park, assisting with special events, presenting interpretive programs, and coordinating volunteer services.
Members have the opportunity to share their skills and talents with others while enjoying the park. Members can be as active in the group as their schedules permit. A major time commitment is not necessary, but members are welcome to volunteer as much as they want. A partnership between a friends group and the park can provide the added services the visitors want and the staff alone cannot provide. We need your help! If you are interested in becoming a member, or if you just want more information, please stop by the park office, give us a call, or print, fill out, and mail the form [PDF, 102KB] and we’ll contact you. Or you can come to a the Friends Group meeting and join there. Meetings are held at the Lake Kegonsa State Park Maintenance Shop. When you enter the park, take your first left onto the road marked "Service Road. Do not enter." The shop will be around the corner on the right. Scheduled meetings are:
