Ice Age Trail Maps

More than 600 miles of trail are completed in 30 counties across Wisconsin. The completed sections of the Ice Age Trail are connected by roadways and other temporary routes, so you can spend a day exploring a segment of the trail or thru-hike the entire length, more than 1,000 miles.

The Ice Age Trail Atlas and Companion Guide [exit DNR], containing maps for all sections of the trail, are available for sale from the Ice Age Trail Alliance. The Atlas contains more than 100, 1:48,000-scale, color maps of the entire trail, and also shows parking areas, toilets, campgrounds, shelters and dispersed camping areas. The Companion Guide provides a complete description of the entire trail including lodging and dining information.

Using Webview - DNR's Interactive Online Map Viewer, you can make and print your own map of any Ice Age Trail segment. To see the Ice Age Trail, click the Layers Tab and then under the Recreation & Trails Folder, select "Ice Age Trail". You can zoom in on your area of interest and select whatever other layers you want to show, such as roads, towns, rivers and aerial photos.

The Ice Age Trail is also listed on the maps of the State Parks and Forests it travels through.

The Ice Age Trail County Maps [exit DNR] provide an overview of the general route of the Ice Age Trail.
