Trails at Hoffman Hills State Recreation Area

Hoffman Hills State Recreation Area has 8.6 miles of hiking and cross-country ski trails, including 2 miles of interpretive nature trails.

You can walk or ski through a 15-acre tall grass prairie restoration or view wildlife along a 1-mile wetland trail that's accessible for people with disabilities. Bicycles, motor vehicles, and horses are not allowed on the trails.

The ski trails vary in difficulty and are groomed for both stride and skate styles of skiing. Sleds, snowboards, snowshoes, and hikers are not allowed on groomed ski trails. Skiers age 16 years and older must have state trail passes.
