Nature Activities for All Ages
at Amnicon Falls State Park

Share your love of nature with children by checking out the Forests Forever or Great Lakes Parkpacks and Take Smokey Bear Camping pack. The Parkpacks are geared for middle school kids in families, youth groups or school classes. They are filled with activities designed to get you hiking, investigating, and thinking about Wisconsin's natural resources and your role in using them wisely. Learn about fire safety and the true story of Smokey Bear and write about Smokey’s adventure with you in his daily journal as you use the Take Smokey Bear Camping pack during your stay. The packs are available for free loan from the park office.

Also available at no cost are the popular Wisconsin Explorer booklets. The booklets are designed as guides for families to explore, observe, and learn more about the natural world while visiting Wisconsin's state parks and forests. Children can earn a colorful patch and certificate of achievement by completing half of the activities.

Take along an interpretive booklet when you hike the Thimbleberry Nature Trail or the trails around the falls. The booklets are available at the park office.

There are occasional naturalist-led hikes and programs at the park. See our events calendar for details.

School classes can come to Amnicon Falls for geology field trips.
