Wildcat Mountain State Park ConditionsConditions as of Wednesday, August 27, 2008: Trails – Horse trails are open and in good condition. The Hemlock hiking trail has reopened. It still has some rough areas but it can be hiked. Remember to stay on marked trails. Campgrounds – Horse, family, and group camps are open. For weekend camping, reservations are recommended. Sunday nights through Thursday there are many open sites available. Make reservations for family, horse, or group campsites for dates through October 31 by calling (888) 947-2757, TTY (800) 274-7275 or using the Web. Picnic areas – Picnic areas, including the Ice Cave picnic area, are open. River – Canoeing has been good on the Kickapoo River with rentals and shuttles available nearby in the Village of Ontario.
