Volunteers are always welcome. Stop in and we can discuss some ongoing projects!

The Friends of Rib Mountain have entered into an agreement with UW-Stevens Point - Schmeeckle Reserve to develop a conceptual plan for a nature center at Rib Mountain State Park. The Schmeeckle Reserve staff will be seeking public comments about the proposed nature center throughout the next year. Please note this is for the proposed nature center only, not for general park operations. The Friends of Rib Mountain and Rib Mountain State Park have also entered into an agreement with UW-Stevens Point Park and Recreation Association to create a new trail to the old quarry area on the west end of the park. Two UW-SP students have been coordinating this project and have been working with volunteers on this trail development. If you are interested in assisting with this project please contact the park at 715-842-2522.
