Mill Bluff State Park ConditionsDespite recent heavy rainfall in the area, all trails are open. All branches and down trees have been cleared and a few wet spots remain in certain areas of Camels Bluff Trail. Nature: Wild lupine are in full bloom around the area as well as the columbine and many other species. The bluebirds houses are full of eggs waiting to hatch. Please do not disturb any of the houses. Due to the wet conditions the mosquitoes are plentiful in the area. Bring insect spray for a more enjoyable visit to the park. All campsites are open and in good condition. There are no showers at the park. Showers are available for a fee at area vendors. You can reserve sites for 2008 dates, 2 days to 11 months in advance. To prevent the spread of harmful insects, the state parks & forests prohibit firewood from anywhere more then 50 miles from the park or outside of the state. Firewood is available at the park. The swimming pond and beach are in good condition and is a big draw to the park. The water is tested and always has very good readings. There is no fishing or boating at Mill Bluff. All facilities are open. The park has many dates still available for the reservable A-frame shelter. Roads in and around the park are open and in good condition. Ramp work is being done at the Oakdale exit # 48, but is open to area traffic. Hunting
