Great River State Trail Conditions

Conditions as of Saturday, July 5, 2008:

The trail is open and in good condition.

Enjoy the unique character of remnant prairie habitat along the old railway beds as the prairie flowers really show their stuff now!

The toilet buildings at Trempealeau and Lytle's Landing are open for the season.

Please report any concerns to staff at (608) 534-6409.

Trail passes are required for bicyclists and skiers age 16 years and older. Passes must be purchased before being on the trail. The 2008 annual trail passes for bicycling and cross-country skiing are on sale now at Perrot State Park and at the Onalaska Tourism Office, 1101 Main Street, or by mail. To find the office, go north on State Highway 35. Turn right on Main Street (State Highway 157). Go about 8 blocks east. The tourism office will be on your left.
