Buffalo River State Trail Conditions

Conditions as of Friday, October 23, 2009:

Fall colors should peak this weekend.

All-terrain vehicles (ATVs) are allowed year-round on the Buffalo River State Trail. Grading and mowing operations are underway. Please be alert for machinery on the trail.

Adjoining county trail systems may be closed to ATVs. Check with local counties for specific information about county ATV trails. For trail conditions in Trempealeau County, call (715) 538-2311 ext. 205. For trail conditions in Buffalo County, call (608) 685-2410.

The trail resurfacing project will resume in the fall. Watch for trail closures during the week. The trail will be open on weekends.

All hunting seasons apply along this trail.
