The portable toilet in Meridean has been removed for the season HuntingChippewa River State is open for hunting in season from Caryville to the junction with the Red Cedar State Trail in the Dunnville Wildlife Area. There is no hunting on the trail from Eau Claire to Caryville. More InformationBuy your state trail pass before biking or skating on the trail. Buy your pass at any DNR Service Center, including the one on Clairemont Avenue in Eau Claire; most bike shops in Eau Claire; Luers Grocery in Caryville; or the self-registration station on Short Street. If you bring a pet, keep it on a hand-held leash 8 feet or shorter at all times. Trail users must stop at all stop signs along the trail. They are there for your safety!
