Governor Nelson State Park Conditions

Conditions as of Friday, June 27, 2008:

Trails

All trails are open for hiking. For the most recent trail conditions, call the park office, (608) 831-3005.

Boating, Fishing, and Swimming

All piers have been installed and are ready to use.

The beach and pet swim area are open. Please use caution when walking on the beach, there is some erosion. All visible washout areas have been repaired but the underwater erosion from recent storms remains.

The boat landing restrooms and fish cleaning table remain open.

Events

Friday Night Jamboree - Join us for some free folk music from 7 - 9 p.m. Fridays, July 18, and August 1 and15. Listen to local folk musicians at our beach picnic shelter area.

Park Stickers

Each vehicle entering the park must have an admission sticker. The 2008 annual stickers aree available now.

Governor Nelson State Park has no camping.
