High Cliff State Park Conditions

Conditions as of Friday, June 27, 2008:

Trails: All trails are open for hiking. Hikers can expect to find standing water in areas. Dogs are allowed on all trails, but must be kept on a leash. The bike/horse trails are open for the season. Biking is also allowed on all park roads.

Nature: Plenty of birds to watch this time of year.

Lake Winnebago: Conditions are good for boating; however, boaters can expect to floating debris along the shoreline due to recent heavy rains. Beach users can expect to find high water conditions (the sand beach is completely under water). The beach water is tested regularly for e-coli and will be posted if results indicate conditions are unsafe for swimming.

Facilities: The restrooms / showers at the Marina are open.

Camping: All loops of the campground are open for camping. Reservations are recommended for electric sites April through October and all weekend camping May through October. You may reserve a site by calling (888) WI PARKS (888) 947-2757, TTY (800) 274-7275) or by using the Web.

Roads: The entrance road to the park is open.
