Hartman Creek State Park ConditionsConditions as of Tuesday, August 12, 2008: TrailsAll hiking, horse, off-road biking and hiking trails are open. Please call ahead for updated information. A state trail pass is required for those persons age 16 years and older who use the horse and off-road biking trails. CampingAny firewood brought in from more than 50 miles away will be confiscated due to the potential of carrying emerald ash borers. Camping rates are $15/night/resident and $17/night/non-resident. Electrical sites (21 and 65-87) cost $5 more per night. Reserve a campsite for 2 days to 11 months from now using the Web or by calling (888) 947-2757, TTY (800) 274-7275. The entire family campground will be open until September 30. At that time two of the back loops of the campground will be closed off and only the first shower building, by site #23, will remain open until about mid-October. Fall is a wonderful time to explore Wisconsin's state parks! Day Use AreaWhispering Pines day use picnic area is open for the season. Picnic tables and a toilet facility are available on this 30-acre parcel on the upper Chain O'Lakes. FishingThe lakes in the park are spring-fed.
