Devil's Lake State Park
Beaver Tales
Students will learn about the historical significance of the beaver from
the early European exploration of North America to the present. The 200-year
popularity of the beaver hat and its impact on beaver populations will
be a focus. The biology, behavior, and ecological impact of the beaver
in Wisconsin will also be explored.

Special instructions
At certain times of the year, this program may be conducted at the site
of an active beaver pond. Students should wear appropriate footwear for
a wet area.
