Roche-A-Cri State Park
Adams-Friendship, Wisconsin
Roche-A-Cri State Park, established in 1948, includes a 605-acre park
area. Roche-A-Cri comes from French words meaning "crevice in the
rock." The park has a 300-foot-high rock outcropping with Native American petroglyphs and pictographs.
The park has 41 rustic campsites within a forest of large oaks and pines.
Carter Creek in the park offers fishing opportunities.
The stairway to the top of the bluff is currently closed due to deteriorating lumber. A $354,600 project for replacing the stairs has been approved to complete the work in 2011. The park website and current conditions will be updated when the project is completed.
