Camping Reservations

You can reserve a site 48 hours to 11 months before the date of arrival. For availability and rates, including reservation fees, call toll free at (888) WI-PARKS ((888) 947-2757, TTY (800) 274-7275). Call center hours vary. You also may make reservations via the Internet 24 hours a day.

Daisy Field Campground

Two loops of the Daisy Field Campground offer a total of 123 campsites, 40 of them with electricity. Four group sites, each able to accommodate 30 people will open in 2009. Two of the group sites can accommodate trailers and motor homes and the other two sites are available for tent campers. Showers and a sanitary dump station are open in season.

In addition to Potawatomi's Accessible Cabin, the park has two paved, accessible campsites in the south loop of the campground. These sites have paved pathways leading to the toilet/shower building and are equipped with pedestals for electric hookups.

Firewood Notice: Due to the potential of carrying harmful tree pests and diseases, firewood from out of state or from more than 25 miles away is not allowed on Wisconsin State Park or Forest properties. Also, firewood that has been in the Wisconsin emerald ash borer quarantined area [PDF 102KB] is not allowed on properties outside of the quarantined area. Please buy firewood at or near the park or forest where you are going. Call the DNR toll-free Firewood Hotline, (877) 303-WOOD ((877) 303-9663) for information before packing for a trip.

Admission stickers are required on all vehicles. Purchase vehicle stickers at Park Headquarters or state park contact stations.

Cabin by the Bay

The Cabin by the Bay in the south campground provides fully accessible indoor camping for persons with disabilities. The cabin is equipped with a low counter, stove, microwave and refrigerator. Two hospital beds, a full-sized sofa sleeper, and two cots accommodate up to six people. Amenities include a bathroom with a wheel-in shower, heating, air conditioning, and a screened porch. 

A committee of people with disabilities helped design the cabin to make it highly useable by a variety of people. The cabin is one of seven accessible cabins in Wisconsin’s state parks and forests. Accessible Picnic Area: The picnic area in Potawatomi State Park lies along the Sturgeon Bay shoreline and has a paved pathway along its entire length. Paved paths connect Parking Lot 2 with the hard-surface trail, the shelter building and the water fountain.

Accessible campsites: In addition to the cabin, two paved accessible campsites are available in the south loop of the campground.

Accessible Fishing Pier: An accessible pier is on the south shoreline in the picnic area.
