Governor Thompson State Park Conditions

Conditions as of Monday, February 6, 2012:

Trails

The 6-mile ski trail system and the 2.5 miles of packed snowshoe trails are now open. For ski trail condition updates please call the park office (715) 757-3979 or check the trail reports on line at www.skinnyski.com. Please remember hikers and pets are not allowed on the ski trails.

Lakes and Boat Landings

The boat landing and fishing pier on Caldron Falls are now iced-in. The water on Caldron Falls is frozen. Woods Lake is also iced-over at this time. Many anglers have been trying their luck through the ice.

Facilities

The new visitor center is open for business. Stop by and check it out! The Woods Lake day-use area is open and has picnic tables and benches to enjoy a peaceful lunch or to simply enjoy the seasonal changes around the lake.

See the new enclosed shelter building at Woods Lake. The new shelter is available for rent for family or social gatherings.
