Big Island Bridge Replacement

The bridge to Big Island has been replaced with a new structure. The old bridge was constructed in 1978 as a temporary crossing for logging on the island.

The new bridge will provide safer access to the island for hikers, hunters, management (including trail and campsite maintenance and timber harvest) and power line maintenance. Boaters will also notice improved navigational clearance under the bridge.
