Great Wisconsin Birding & Nature Trail
Together with more than 100 endorsing partners including conservation groups, agencies, private nature centers and communities that comprise the Wisconsin Bird Conservation Initiative, the Endangered Resources Program has begun the work to develop the Great Wisconsin Birding and Nature Trail. Five regional trail viewing guides will use existing roads to guide the nature traveler to the best of Wisconsin's wildlife watching areas. The guides will contain maps and will also connect the traveler with the local community Chambers of Commerce who will assist in supplying the names of area business who can offer food, lodging and all of the amenities needed to make their nature-based travel complete.
Each trail will have its own custom guide, which will cover a different region of the state:
