Mississippi River Team Organization and Contacts

The interdisciplinary Mississippi River Team has program areas in fisheries and freshwater mussels, water quality monitoring and assessment, Mississippi River habitat restoration, and wildlife management. More from the WDNR-Mississippi River Initiative.

The River Team also includes the Mississippi River Monitoring Station which is located at the U.S.Geological Survey (USGS) Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin. A separate web site has been developed for the Mississippi River Monitoring Station [exit DNR] ) in cooperation with the USGS Environmental Sciences Center.

This interdisciplinary team has expertise in fisheries, aquatic vegetation, wildlife, water quality, freshwater mussels and restoring Mississippi River habitat.
