The Lower Rock River Basin

New research by DNR lake scientists indicates excluding carp can help improve lake clarity. A study site in Lake Wingra, Rock River Basin, showed improved water clarity after only one week of a new exclosure which prevents carp, a bottom dwelling fish reknown for its tendancy to stir up lake sediment and increase turbidy of lake waters.
