Status of the Recycling Program

Overview

Since the early 1990's researchers have been monitoring the progress of Wisconsin's mandatory statewide recycling program. Using a mix of focus groups and telephone surveys, we have tracked public participation in and acceptance of this program. This current study updates earlier work (the last such survey was conducted in 1998).

Methods

We will conduct several focus groups in selected areas of the state to get direct feedback on the program. We will also use a statewide telephone survey to quantify the current status of the program.
