![]() In the Riverworks Industrial area, this 183,280 SF (4.2 acre) property is surrounded by industrial uses. The Riverwest neighborhood is to the south, Capitol Drive to the north and the Milwaukee River to the east. This property was first developed in the 1920s and multiple buildings and businesses historically occupied the site including a bedding company, mattress manufacturer, pump and tank works, building supply manufacturer, and a box and specialty company. This property was acquired by the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee through a blight elimination effort in 2003 and an EPA cleanup grant application was submitted for the property in November 2004. These drawings aim to redevelop the space to attract or retain family-supporting jobs for residents of the neighborhood with an industrial use on the site.
